Flower Quilt

This was a panel that I sewed around the edges of each flower to give it the look of applique. I created this for my mother for Mother’s Day 2024.

Butterfly Scarf

Sunflower Coaster

T-Shirt Quilt

This is a king size quilt made from some of the bicycle road races my son participated in while in high school. His race numbers are on the border as well as teams he rode for. He made the Junior National Team right before COVID hit.

My Mother’s Apron

This apron has photo fabric transfer pockets containing mementos from my mother’s life. This was a project produced during a Fabric Multimedia workshop at the North Carolina Museum of Art.

My Mother’s Sewing Box

This wreath was created using items found in my mother’s sewing box including vintage buttons, ruler, lace, thimbles, thread spoons, scissors, bobbins, ribbon and pin cushions. Look closely and you can even see the original price on some items.

My Grandfather’s Ties

This 20”x20” wall hanging was created with the 60 tvintage ties my grandfather had collected over his lifetime. When he died my mother kept the ties and then asked me to do something with them. Since my grandfather loved to garden I created a flower. The tags from each tie add a border.
